Turtle Facts

A large adults loggerhead weigh 200 to 350 pounds and measures about three feet in length.

Hatchlings are about two inches long and the turtles nest in Florida from late April to September.

Loggerhead survival in Florida is threatened by drowning in shrimp trawls, fish nets, and by habitat loss.
